Preparing for Ceremony

Preparing for Ceremony

So what is an Illumination, and what can it do for you?

An illumination is the clearing away of dense and heavy energies that have accumulated in our luminous energy fields by using medicine stones and meditative breathing.  One has a specific intention in mind during this process they want to alleviate or transform.  For example, a behavioral pattern, addiction, emotional and/or physical trauma, and fears or blockages.  Jean guides her clients during this process and brings in light energy to further assist with their transformative healing process.

What is a Despacho Ceremony, and what are they used for?

The term Despacho refers to the act of making an offering, a "give away".  It is a giving back of what we receive everyday in our lives.  This ceremony is performed by a medicine person, typically at the solstices and equinoxes, unless otherwise commissioned.  We seek through Despacho ceremony to bridge the non ordinary and ordinary realms to establish new patterns of relationship and possibility.  It is a gift that places us in right relationship with Mother Earth.  It helps align our three centers of interaction in this world, which are our source of action/manifestation (at the solar plexus), our source of love (heart), and our wisdom sourced from our forehead (at our third eye).  This offering when completed is then buried, burned, or fed to the waters.

Jean offers these privately or in group ceremonies for specific healing as warranted by a clients' needs.

What happens at a Transformational Fire Ceremony?

A transformational fire ceremony is celebrated on the full moon of each month.  The ceremony begins by opening sacred space (calling in the four directions).  After the fire is lit a chant is begun to call upon the spirit of the waters beneath the earth.  Each participant offers a stick (death arrow) into the fire and then brings the energy of the fire into their three major energy centers, to help with the transformation process.  It is an opportunity for cleaning and healing of distinctive habits and patterns over time.  The fire is approached with a pure heart and an intention in mind.  There is a two week period following the fire in which instances of opportunity appear to translate your intent for healing into reality.

On the full moon, Jean offers public fire ceremonies at her home.  She also performs private ceremonies at her home or at different locations.

What is the Munay-ki?

The Munay-Ki comes from a Quechua word that means "I love you".  The Munay-Ki are the nine rites of initiation to become a person of wisdom and power.  The rites are common to all shamanic traditions, even though they are expressed in different forms and styles in different cultures.  These transmissions will assist us as we transition into a new era of peace, abundance, and wellness as prophesied by the Maya, Hopi, Inca, and other indigenous cultures.  They are codes that offer us the opportunity to evolve from Homo sapien to Homo luminous.  These transmissions facilitate the evolution of your true becoming; by clearing your luminous energy field of past traumas and old scripts that hold you back from your highest potential.  One can create their world, walking in beauty and peace.

Jean is trained to teach and gift the Munay-Ki rites.

What are Death Rites for?

Death Rites are the process of dying consciously.  It is offered to individuals, families and friends associated with persons involved in the dying process. The process helps one through the journey beyond in a peaceful manner full of grace and light.  Great healing takes place psychologically, spiritually, and emotionally.  One takes the great journey beyond relieved of fears, issues resolved, and a greater understanding of loved ones, and at peace with oneself.

Through the Four Winds Society, Jean has received the dying consciously training to assist individuals and families through this process.
